's-Hertogenbosch

I have no particular reason tell you about this Dutch town, other than feeling a certain curiosity and sense of mystery brought forth when I read the name of it. There is a strange artefact hidden somewhere in the stylistic expression of this word, but I can’t seem to really put my finger on what it is.

“‘s” is a contraction of des in the full name des Hertogen Bosch (the duke’s forest).
